Megan and Jake have been going for hot dogs every Friday since they started dating. Thus, they decided to have the ultimate hot dog Friday by getting married on a friday, having hot dogs and tacos, with their friends and family, at sunset. with sparklers. It was amazing. Megan told me when we first met that she wanted to get married at sunset. In true Alberta fashion the entire day was overcast and incredibly windy. But right before the ceremony, the sun came out:) I probably haven’t mentioned this but I truly believe that backyards make for the most incredible wedding venues. I’m convinced that they are the most intimate, chill, quirky, fun and relaxed venues for a wedding. Megan and Jake’s wedding was no exception. I also loved that Megan and Jake chose to have their first look in from of their home followed by a few photos with their dog Roy Rogers McFreely and their cat Monster Mash.
A lot of the details for the wedding were handmade; from the custom lawn games, to the crystals that Megan hand clued onto her shoes, to the hand made flavoured marshmallows for smores. So much thought was put into the day and it was truly incredible. Thank you Megan and Jake for trusting me to document these moments for you. All the love,
